ARTBA’s Bridge Policy and Promotion Council hosted a free webinar on how design-build teams can find innovative ways to give owners a better “value-added” project. Craig Finley’s presentation will focus on how Alternative Technical Concepts (ATC) were successfully used on the recently completed, award-winning precast segmental bridges of the Palmetto Expressway Project (SR 826 / 836 Interchange) in Miami, Florida. Key points of his presentation include:

  • Four ATC’s that successfully alternated the owner’s objectives and requirements to the D/B team’s advantage.
  • Introduction of new technology for the owner’s benefit and D/B Team’s advantage.
  • The purpose and intent of results of the ATC’s: cost & schedule reductions, with improved function, efficiency and safety.
  • Owner and D/B team’s perspectives of the successful ATC process.

All ARTBA members are welcome to participate in this free webinar.
