June 22, 2016: Fly Ash Availability for Concrete: Supply Outlook Within a Changing Energy World
Fly ash utilization is widely accepted as a cost-effective strategy for improving the durability and sustainability of concrete roads, bridges, runways and other structures. Recently, fly ash users in some parts of the country have encountered shortages of this valued material.
This webinar will address factors affecting near term ash supply, describe changes occurring in the electric utility sector that produces fly ash, and provide a long term outlook for fly ash availability in the United States. The discussion will include information from two American Road and Transportation Builders Association studies that quantified the economic benefits of fly ash utilization and compiled the first ever forecast for fly ash availability.
